About David Ryland

David Ryland is a renowned floral artist with more than 40 years of experience. Based in Armathwaite, his work has received national recognition, including winning a coveted RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal.

In 2022, David was chosen as one of just eight florists across Britain to design arrangements for the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service at Westminster Abbey. His striking ten-foot-high floral sculpture, featuring red, white, and blue blooms, was praised as a fitting tribute.

David is passionate about sharing his craft and takes pride in representing Cumbria on both local and national stages. His workshops combine professional expertise with a welcoming, down-to-earth approach, ensuring everyone leaves inspired.

Tickets include all wreath-making materials, light refreshments and a glass of fizz.
